Autumn Term 2020

Our hosts, King’s School, have had to make the difficult decision to remain closed to external groups until January 2020. The school will be returning to their new premises in September with a policy of no assemblies, no sporting fixtures and no external groups using the facilities. MMC will therefore be unable to return in September; we very much hope to return in January and will keep in regular contact with King’s to establish when it will be safe to return.

In the meantime we are planning an exciting virtual performance - all details are on our events page.

Please keep safe and well. We look forward to meeting and making music together soon - we will be back to normal as soon as restrictions allow. Please check “Recent News” for updates.

Macclesfield Music Centre (MMC) is an independent, registered charity, offering everyone in Macclesfield and surrounding community the opportunity to enjoy making music.

Music is performed by groups & ensembles at all levels, providing progressive training and experience of wind band, jazz band & orchestral playing, and our Coffee Shop is an ideal meeting place to make new friends. Our members range from 3 months to 76+ years, so it really is a genuine community.

If you are interested in joining any of our groups or are looking for private instrumental/singing lessons, please contact us using the email details on the side of this page, our facebook page, twitter, or just call in to see us any Saturday morning that we are open.

We aim to ensure that MMC does everything possible to safeguard children and young people who are involved with MMC in any way.
Please do read the Safeguarding Policy, Procedures and Guidance document.
You will see that we believe each MMC member has a responsibility to care for and safeguard all children and adults who come to the centre.
