Registration for MMC Summer Term 2022 is now open so please sign up to enjoy a summer of music making.

Please note one change to our published dates: We will no longer be meeting on the Saturday 25th June, but instead will meet on Saturday 2nd July.

We have various plans for groups to perform so here are some dates for your diaries (full details available through group tutors):

  • Jubilee celebrations: 4th June, St Michaels, 12:00 - 15:00 - Smaller MMC groups are invited to take part in this event.
  • LMT Celebration Weekend: Saturday 18th June, Clonter Opera - Beginner Groups are invited to take part
  • MMC Summer Celebration: 10th July, Outdoor picnic and performances. Venue and times TBC. This will be an opportunity for our larger groups to perform and for everyone to celebrate together.
We also have a fundraising event, kindly organised by Nicola Bright.

Nicola's Open Garden, MMC Fundraising Event: 26th June, 175 Windmill Street, 12:00 - 17:00
Donations of sheet music, and plants are welcome for stalls and can be brought to MMC on the 18th June. Members, tutors and their families are welcome to visit the garden and help raise funds for MMC.

Finally, registration for our Holiday Courses is also now open. This year we are running 6 courses, over 3 weeks - something for everyone.
Please see the website for details, or ask the front desk for a course leaflet which explains each one in detail.

Have a good Easter and we look forward to seeing you next term,

Dear MMC Members

We hope you have all been enjoying the summer.

MMC have continued to be very busy planning for our return to face to face music making and are delighted to confirm that Registration for the Autumn term 2021 is now open.

If you head to the website Macclesfield Music Centre – It's all about the music… you’ll find full details of the new Saturday morning timetable and how to register.
The timetable can be found here: Timetable
The registration and fees page: Registration and Fees

Having held our membership fees at the same level since 2018, we have made some adjustments to the fee structure in order for us to a) align tutor fees with the Musician’s union rates, and b) enable us to offer a reduction in fee for under 18s.

The termly fees for 2021 - 2022 are:

Adult            £50
Under 18s    £30

with a charging cap at 3 children per family.

Please note new banking details for our online account (also to be found on the registration form).

By way of a reminder we will be at Fallibroome School now on a Saturday morning and look forward to seeing you all on 25th September. The business committee and all tutors will be on hand to point you in the right direction on arrival, as we all get used to our new surroundings!

As we continue to make all the necessary arrangements for our re-opening we are on the look out for volunteers who would be willing to help with the front desk and coffee shop on a Saturday morning. Any help, even if just for an hour, would be gratefully received. We have previously enjoyed the support of those participating in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, for which volunteering for us is recognised within the programme, so please do encourage any participants to consider joining the MMC team.
Please contact  if you feel you could help.

In the meantime, please spread the word that we are re-opening. We are keen to welcome as many new members as we can.
Finally, as we all continue to work within Covid-19 regulations, MMC will be issuing a Covid protocol document prior to the start of term in order to ensure all members are able to meet in a safe environment.

If you have any questions at all, please contact

Best wishes
MMC Business Committee
