Macclesfield Music Centre (MMC) started running holiday music courses in 2013. Our aim is to provide an intensive music making experience in a supportive environment during the school holidays for musicians of all ages.

All the tutors are professional freelance musicians, most of whom teach at MMC and are fully DBS checked.

The courses will be held at Parkroyal Community School, Lyon St, Macclesfield, SK11 6QX and are fantastic for improving your sightreading and general musicianship skills: a must for those studying for GCSE and A level music.

The sessions run between 10am and 4pm each day.  There will be a concert for family and friends on the Friday of each week to showcase the music you have been working on throughout the week. Check out our photos and reports from previous courses.  2018 , 20172016 and 2015

There is a £10 reduction for second or subsequent siblings. Free places are also available for those on low incomes.

Four spaces on the orchestral and jazz weeks are available at half fees to those aged 14-23 who can come and volunteer at the winds and brass, or strings week.

The courses are intensive. Full, respectful participation is expected. A code of conduct will be issued on registration.

Email us using our 'info@...' address stating which course you are interested in attending. We will then send an official registration form.
